Take a second and think about the high gas prices and other 'happening's in our community, county, economy, government, and country. None of them happened accidentally, but rather by a series of various peopole's choices. With our busy schedules, it’s difficult to know which option is the best when making a personal choice and what to do to be involved as an 'active citizen'. So how can you do to make the best choice possible?
Given the diversity that exists in our workplaces and neighborhoods, this process is so simple that it can be used by anyone of any creed or culture, rank or race. It can be used by presidents and politicians, executives and entry-level employees, teenagers and toddlers.
In simpliest terms, this decision-making process is a generic application of the Golden Rule which is the only universal principle found in all major religions. To see how it is worded in each of them, click here. Given 95% of people look to a spiritual source for guidance, it 'just makes sense' to include a generic application of the Golden Rule in this decision-making process.
Think of the improvement in relationships within families, with co-workers, and how neighbors can live more ambiably by one another's effort to make 'conscious, caring choices'. By doing that, you can contribute to more harmonious homes, offices, and communities.
Consider the impact that one person can make as you read how a six-year old stayed focused on his effort: http://www.markvictorhansen.com/bumper.php. By his perseverance, Tommy did what he could to influence two leaders to make our world a better place in their respective positions. Now, consider how you can make a similar effort just by the conscious, caring choices that you can make each day.
I invite you to join this local effort of uniting with others through my non-profit, Local Choices for Global Harmony. While each of us are uniquely different from one another, think of the choices we make each day as 'virtual seeds' planted that we will harvest at some time in ouir future.... What kind of 'harvest' do you want to enjoy in your future?
Another motivating reason to make good choices is the Law of Karma, What Goes Around Comes Around. Simply by uniting 'virtually' by our commitments to make conscious, caring choices, we can each be creating a good future for ourself while also making ‘our’ world a better place for all of us. To learn more about how each of us can contribute our 'piece' to 'peace', please contact me for details.
