The mission of Local Choices for Global Harmony is to create more respect for one another in our diverse communities through a movement we call a ‘CAREolution’.
Opposite of a REVOLuTtion, a CAREolution promotes caring more for vs revolting against one another. Given the instinctive way humans think is of self, a CAREolution starts in one’s own heart and is first shown to others at home. Next, it expands into one’s interactions with your neighbors by being respectful - and helpful when possible - to them and others you interact with each day…not just those that one may be tempted to pick to be nice to.
Then, with increased participation in our workplaces and, for our children, in their schools, this effort expands across communities nationwide and gradually globally as people unite mentally by our commitment to be respectful to all while we all continue living our own lives physically. Will you consider joining our virtually united T.E.A.M. and help us create more harmony wherever it is possible in ‘our’ world vs ‘the’ world?
Take a moment and ask yourself: “What kind of seeds am I planting today by the choices I am making that affect my family, friends, and co-workers? Will those choices of today ‘harvest' what I want to have in my future?”
When you make the effort to make caring choices and also unite 'virtually' with others, you will be creating a good future for yourselves and others.
The other ‘prong’ of our work is to help children in Grades 1-4 learn how to ‘Be a Social Star’ by using the S.T.A.R. steps to be thoughtful and respectful of one another and stand up for themselves if they are bullied at school or in their neighborhood. Contact us for more information about this.
Whether it is with children or adults, we are working to infuse this natural, easy, and universal decision-making process into our communities and companies as a global guide that good-hearted people and organizations can both use and refer to when choices of others are unkind in nature and not ‘up to standard’.
All we have to do is listen to the news to hear about the harm done by groups united to hurt or harm others. To help us strengthen our presence in our world against unkind activities, please join our ‘virtually united’ T.E.A.M., ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’ in this positive movement called a CAREolution. When we are not united, we are living our lives physically but disconnected from one another mentally. Living in this isolated manner was summarized recently by someone who said: “The reason we have the problems that we do is because we’re all in this….ALONE!”
Imagine the power of a good united team that spans all cultures, communities, companies, and countries.
Instead of pointing our finger at others who may have done something unkind, let’s all look at how we can be a part of the solution vs. a part of the problem by joining our CAREolution today.
