Diploma vs Drugs? Study vs sleep in? Kind vs cruel? Effort vs excuse? Teenagers have lots of choices to make. Hopefully, they are smart choices.

Teenagers make many choices each day to: teens in a group
Do the best they can in all their classes at school.
Deal with all that's going on at school outside of classes.
Get along with friends and their immediate and
extended families.
Know how to effectively handle invitations regarding alcohol, drugs, and other 'social invitations'.
Manage their time well between studying, school commitments, family, friends, and possibly work at a part-time job.
Decide whether to go to college, which one, and what to major in at college.

With all these choices that they have to make, teenagers need an easy, and yet, effective way to make them.

The quote "Teenagers like to be different - just like everyone else" illustrates how teenagers like to be 'like the gang'; yet, also may need to take a stand by making a choice that is different from the crowd such as staying in school versus dropping out and doing drugs. They may feel that they may be risking rejection by even their closest friends if they “go against the gang”.

Getting in the habit of thinking about the consequences and outcomes of one's choice is hard to do for teenagers given the limited level of development of their brain as stated in this article from Scholastic magazine, but utterly important to help a teenager feel more in charge and responsible for himself when he makes good choices and decisions.

To use a visual analogy, compare making wise choices to planting good seeds that they will 'harvest' (enjoy) later in their life.

Our customized programs help teenagers do exactly that. In our highly-interactive Success by C.H.O.I.C.E. workshops, teenagers learn how to:

  1. Picturize a situation before they make a choice.

  2. Identify the three types of choices and a process to use
    for each.

  3. See, visually, how what they do in the present moment is connected to the big pix of their life.

  4. Learn a way to make choices that can be used throughout their lifetime and…

  5. Communicate their choice respectfully to their friends even if they don’t agree with the choice made.

When teenagers have confidence in how they make their choices and decisions, they have something to jump for
joy about!

In our Success by C.H.O.I.C.E. workshops, teenagers learn the steps to make choices and decisions carefully and clearly so they can enjoy having a process to use throughout their lives to create a life of good health, happiness, loving relationships, and wealth which will be determined by their choices!

Also, they will receive a 'personal GPS' device and 'virtual' drivers license to navigate easily through the 'choice points' a.k.a. 'virtual intersections' on the journey of their life.
